Leander ISD has licensed a NEW Frontline Health Portal to provide you with a convenient way to complete your child’s COVID-19 self-screen prior to arriving at school every day. You may download the Frontline Health Portal App (Not Frontline Education App) from the app store on your phone.

Please review the directions below for setting up your portal:

  • Register and create a Frontline account through the Frontline Health Portal app.

  • Use the primary email that you provided to the district and confirm the Portal Terms of Use.

  • Once you log in, click on “Home” on the top menu bar. This selection will prompt you to register your first child to your account. You will need to provide the following information:

    • Student Last Name
    • Student Date of Birth
    • Student School ID (as designated by the District)
    • To register additional in-person children, who are enrolled at any LISD campus, remain on the “Home” tab, click on “Add Person,” and continue this step until all your children are registered.

  • Your new Frontline Health Portal is now active and ready for use!

Important Note: All children in a family can be added to the same account, as well as families that have multiple homes, both parents can create an account for their child with their own email.

Please note that you must submit a daily health screener for your child prior to arriving to school.

On Friday, September 18th you should have received an email with information about our new system for transportation changes and car rider pick up. This email has important information -- your username & password & unique parent PIN for our car rider lane! By accessing School Dismissal Manager you are able to make transportation changes for your child.

In-person families--please log-in and set your default transportation plans for your student.

ALSO--If your child is a car rider you will need to display your personal PIN in our car rider lane.

Please make sure it is written large enough for us to see!

Here are a few Fast Facts that you will need to know for getting started:

  1. New parents have been issued a username and temporary password (sent via email on Friday Sept 18th). Returning parents can use their existing parent login credentials. Please use these to login to SDM at
  2. The Parent Login area is found at the top right of the SDM homepage.
  3. When you login for the first time, you will be required to change your password immediately.
  4. Please refer to the Parent Guide for Creating Exceptions for details on how to use the system.
  5. As you begin to use School Dismissal Manager, if you have questions, please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) link found in the Parent login area at the top of the SDM homepage. Here, you will find answers to the most commonly asked questions. If your question remains unanswered after checking here, please contact the school office and we will be happy to assist you further.
  6. When you start to receive the email notifications of changes or cancellations that are made for your child, please keep in mind that hitting Reply or Reply All on those emails does not reply to the school. If you need to respond to a notification (i.e., to inform the school it is incorrect, provide additional details, etc.) please call the school directly and talk with someone in the office.
  7. Do not use the Recurring Dismissal feature to put in your child's ''default'' dismissal.
  8. Each school day, School Dismissal Manager will send a comprehensive dismissal report to the school immediately following the cut-off time, allowing administrators and staff to facilitate a smooth dismissal.

Thank you to our amazing Titan families for helping send our wonderful staff home with a delicious meal last Thursday!
And more importantly, thank you to our incredible staff for all their hard work teaching and caring for our children each and every day. We appreciate you all!!

Sunday, October 18th
Boot camp begins Tuesday 10/6

We are still awaiting detailed audition materials from NY containing music and audition packets for specific characters. As soon as we receive these needed materials we will share this with everyone so all kids can prepare for their audition.

Did you know we have a new nurse at RPE this year? We are SO lucky to have Nurse Lindsay join us - she has been working very hard to help ensure a safe return to campus for our students and staff! 👩‍⚕️
Here are a couple of pointers to help things go smoothly throughout the day:
- Be sure to fill out the Daily Health Screening survey EACH MORNING on the new Frontline App before sending your child(ren) to school (if you don't, expect a call from the school)! And if they have any symptoms, PLEASE KEEP THEM HOME! 🌡
- If your child is in need of medications throughout the day, please reach out to Nurse Lindsay to schedule an appointment for drop-off 💊
- Please pack an extra change of clothing for the little ones. This will save a trip to the clinic and decrease any exposures to be able to change into their clean clothes in the bathroom vs. the clinic 👚👕👖🩳
- Finally, please be sure to fax all updated immunization records to the school, as the first exclusion for vaccines is Sept 23 (Fax to 512-570-6905) 🩺
Questions? Feel free to reach out to Nurse Lindsay at
💙 Thank you for your help in keeping our students and staff healthy!

Below are some tips and links to assist you in setting up your student for purchasing lunch at RPE.

First you'll need to set up a mealtime account. Just click the link to begin: Your student will need their student ID number when they purchase lunch at school.

Here is the link for all nutrition information (including Food Allergy management and applying for free and reduced meals), set by the LISD district.
The menu link can be a little tricky to find, so here is a direct link for our school:
Bon Appétit!

Do you still have Library books at home? No problem!

Virtual students may drop them off in the school entryway during school hours. There is a bin labeled for library book returns.

Is your student in person? They may drop books off on the cart outside the library. Thank you!

Families will have the opportunity to make a change to their learner location preference for the 2nd grading period which begins on October 14th. UPDATED DATES--The form to request a change between 9/21 and 9/30 will be available on Monday. This will allow us the week of October 5th to make campus adjustments to accommodate the change requests. Parents will be notified of any teacher changes the week of October 5th.

Please be aware that as each grading period allows for parents to request changes, our campus must adjust accordingly. While we strive to maintain as much consistency as possible for our students, requests for changes may result in teacher changes. Even those NOT requesting a change of learner location may be impacted and result in a teacher change as we shift teacher assignments to and from in-person and virtual to accommodate change requests.

Does your child want to be a member of RPE's Culture of Caring(C2) Club?
It's super easy. As long as they agree to what is on the Resolution of Respect (which basically says they believe everyone should be treated kindly), they're in!

Normally, each student gets a hard copy and they "sign" their name to it. This year, the teachers are going to go over it with them again in their zoom (or classroom, for those kiddos back on campus), and then give the students a chance to put their name in the chat or sign the sheet of paper.

Here is a video of Mrs. Sneed, our awesome school counselor talking more about it!

RPE C2 t-shirts are available to order through October 5th! Order directly through the Big Frog website.
T-shirts will be distributed to those who purchased through RPE approximately 2 weeks after October 5th.
Please contact Sherri Sneed with any questions:
