Haven't donated yet? No problem! You have until FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25th to make your contribution. Remember - EVERY dollar raised through this fundraiser goes DIRECTLY back to RPE! It is easy to donate here: https://riverplacepta.
To learn more about donation levels and how the funds support our school, please visit: https://riverplacepta.
We would like to give a big shout out and thank you to all of the families who have already contributed to Write the Check. You can also see their names written on leaves of the Titan Tree located in the front vestibule of RPE.
Mrs. Simpson is creating puppet- making and mask-making stations for the kids during PAC and is seeking donations. This can easily be leftover crafting material anyone would like to donate such as google eyes, felt, pup cleaners, etc! Please leave all donations in the box in the front office. If you have any questions, please contact Erin Koval: firstname.lastname@example.org. Donations will be collected through Friday September 27th.
Please help us thank all of RPE's teachers and staff for everything they do by bringing in snacks and drinks to stock the sojourn (RPE's staff lunch/break room). Treats may be dropped off in the sojourn (which is located across from the cafeteria) anytime between September 16 - 20.

New this year!
River Place Elementary's Run Club will begin in October with the fall semester being a trial during each SOAR time period.
SOAR/Run Club will take place every other week from approximately 7:25-7:50 with a volunteer commitment of 7:15-8am. There will be 5 dates per grade from October 1 - December 12.
We will need at least 4 parent volunteers per date. (volunteer sign up's coming soon)
- 1 volunteer to hold a crossing sign because there is still traffic at that time of day for morning drop off (do we have a sign or does this need to be obtained?
- 2 volunteers on the field/track (clapping, cheering, high fiving, etc)
- 1 volunteer handing out Popsicle sticks to track the number of laps. Each lap is approximately 1/4 mile. At the end, students will need to report their distance. Perhaps the track volunteers can also assist with this.
A Parent Volunteer Orientation is
scheduled for 9/23 @ 7:45am.

THE NEXT GENERATION OF BOX TOPS IS HERE.
Box Tops has gone digital...and it is amazing! Look for the Box Tops app in your app store, download it (free), assign River Place Elementary as your school of choice and start scanning. I just tried this yesterday for the first time at Target. After I made my purchases, I took a photo of my receipt with the app on my phone and it automatically picked up box top friendly purchases and gave credit ($) to our school! It is ridiculously easy. Please give it a try!!
This year our goal is $3800. So let's start scanning!!
Don't forget to order RP's national award-winning yearbook! The yearbook is on sale ONLY at https://www.balfour.com/
