Can we count on your help this year? Please click below to sign up:

10:30-11:30
11:20-12:20
12:10-1:15

2019 Fall Book Drive to support the

LEEF Foundations for Learning

The River Place Elementary Fall Book Drive will go to support the LEEF Holiday Gifting Project.
We will be collecting new or gently used books from

November 11th – November 22nd

Collection bins will be located in the school’s front entrance and at the Scholastic Book Fair on November 13th and 14th.

Our goal is to collect 500 Books to support the LEEF 2019 Holiday Gifting Project.

You may also make a monetary donation directly to the LEEF Foundation through their website: https://leeftx.org/book-requests/

Please be sure to include RPE in the comments.

This week is a busy one at RPE and we need all the help we can get to make it special for our Titan Students. Helping out at the Book Fair is an easy way to get involved. The time goes quickly and it is fun!

We need volunteers to help get students to and from our district nurses for Vision, Hearing, and Spinal Screenings.

Please sign up for one or more times below.

Make sure to stop by and check out Lost and Found in the front vestibule of RPE when you are school for the many activities this week. All items not claimed by Friday November 15th will be donated to the LISD Clothes Closet.

The whole school is excited about our Fall Book Fair which will be held on Wednesday, November 13 from 7:30am - 6:00pm, and Thursday, November 14 from 7:30am - 3:30pm. The second day of the Book Fair is the same day as RPE's Thanksgiving Lunch, so please stop by the Book Fair before or after having lunch with your student! The Book Fair is a great way to get everyone excited about reading. While shopping for your child, you can also contribute books to your child's classroom library. In addition to shopping in person on November 13 and 14, you can shop online from November 7 to 20.  Just visit our school's webpage at http://www.scholastic.com/bf/riverplace

This Fall, students will be able to use eWallet at the Book Fair. After parents set up an eWallet account on our school's webpage at http://www.scholastic.com/bf/riverplace, students can shop at the in-school Book Fair without needing to bring cash! Any unused funds are released back to the credit card on file at the end of the Fair.

The Backpack Food Program Winter Gift Boxes is a huge Four Points Community effort to
provide food to LISD families over the holiday break. Churches, schools, and community groups pull together in a true giving effort. During the week of December 10th 40 boxes of food will be dropped off at RPE to help approximately 55 RPE students and their families over the Holiday Break. (More explicit directions about the drop off will be given closer to the week of the 10th). If you are interested in signing up to donate one of the boxes, please click on the link below and make sure to choose RPE as your donation.

By signing up above, you are committing to proving everything on the list below that will be given to an RPE family:

If you would like to help, but find the above list daunting, we are always collecting for our Care Closet which provides food and necessities for RPE families in need throughout the whole year. You may choose a few items from the list above and drop these off in the bins located on the left side of the front vestibule at RPE.
If you have any questions, please contact Sherri Sneed: Sherri.Sneed@leanderisd.org

Thank you for choosing to
help us make everyone’s holiday a happy time.

We need new volunteers this year,
as many have graduated and moved on to middle school.

Working on the yearbook is one of the best jobs here at RPE!  We need photographers and people to help drop the photos onto pre-designed pages. It’s so easy and can be done online and on your own time.

Perks:
• best seats in the house at all RPE events!
• pick photos (your kids included!) for yearbook pages!
• work at night or your own time.

Paula is available to answer questions and chat with you, and we do a short training session that is easy to get you up to speed.

We are especially short coverage and cannot right now cover grades:
KINDERGARTEN
FIRST GRADE
FOURTH GRADE

Please email me at schumann.paula@gmail.com! I’d love to speak with you!

 September - May

The Titan Garden needs your help to keep looking its best!

How You Can Help:

1. We need volunteers to adopt the Garden for each week of the school year.

2. Each volunteer signs up for 1 week (but only needs to come 1-2 times that week).

3. Now that our garden has an irrigation system (yay!) the responsibilities are only light weeding and pruning.

4. Your instructions will be emailed before your week begins.

 Thank you, Titans!

Get your Titan ready for the school year!

Order your Titan Bundle for $60 (a value of $80)

If you've created a user profile on our website then we ask that you purchase bundles (and any Titan SWAG for that matter!) through the forms located under the My Account Tab rather than through the Titan Store. It will make life so much easier for our Treasurer! Thank you!

Also available this year - sponsor a bundle for a fellow Titan student!

*In the Titan Store you'll notice that Bundles are available with or without planners. If you

PRE-ORDERED school supplies then you ALREADY purchased a planner.

Planners are necessary for grades 1-5.

There are 4 grade level performances this coming year and we need your help!!

We are looking for few individuals that love to put motion to music! There are opportunities right now where we can put your talent to use!  Please email Chris Simpson (chrism.simpson@leanderisd.org) for more information!  Thank you!
