The Giving Tree is a project which helps families from River Place Elementary who are in need around the holidays. 

 

Each ornament on our Giving Tree will contain the information for 1 child (age, female/male, sizes, interests).  By taking the ornament, you are committing to giving the child things like new clothes, a pair of shoes, an age appropriate book, a toy or two (or more depending on your budget), possibly a stuffed animal or any other item that may be appropriate for the child. Partnering with friends, neighbors, scout troops, sports teams, etc. to accomplish this is encouraged or do it on your own!

 

Gifts should be placed in 1 bag and then put under the Giving Tree. Our guidance counselor will be adding some items to each bag.  Don't forget to attach your ornament/tag so we know which kiddo gets it!  They will be numbered for anonymity.

If you are not interested in taking on this larger project, we will also be collecting gift cards in any amount to HEB, Target, or close local restaurants which will be added to the gift bags.

The Giving Tree project usually begins right after Thanksgiving Break.
