Become an Approved Volunteer

Before volunteering, complete the LISD approval process, including the required background check. Please allow 2–3 business days for processing and wait for approval before participating.

New volunteers: Complete the LISD Volunteer Application.

Returning volunteers: Visit the Raptor Volunteer Portal to update your information and complete your annual renewal when prompted.

Volunteer Guidelines

Help us keep RPE safe, welcoming, and supportive by following these guidelines:

• Keep your approval current. Complete the required volunteer application and renewal process.

• Check in each visit. Bring a photo ID and sign in at the front office through the school’s visitor system.

• Protect student privacy. Keep student and family information confidential. Get teacher or principal permission before photographing or recording students other than your own.

• Follow staff direction. Respect campus policies and leave classroom instruction and student discipline to teachers.

• Be dependable and respectful. Arrive on time, let the campus know if you cannot attend, and treat students, staff, and families with kindness.
